I think I screwed myself over. Is there a way I can fix it?

I (stupidly) used the Chameleon_100_Unique cheat, thinking that it gave you an actual spell. Apparently, it just makes you 100% Chameleon all the time. Now certain people that I need in quests can't see me and respond with "Who's there?" and a red goodbye. Is there a way to reverse this?

If it's a command, you could always reissue it with 0 in place of 100. If it's a mod, you could uncheck it at the load screen.

I tried the 0 in replace of the 100 and it doesn't work. It there a way to set your character back to default, or something similar?

What exact command did you enter? Was it SetChameleon XXX?
Try entering:
Player-> SetChameleon 0

Try entering:
Player-> SetChameleon, 0
It was: player-> addspell Chameleon_100_Unique

So a spell effect. Try:
player-> RemoveSpellEffects

Thank you.
Thank you a million times over. That was screwing up my entire gameplay. I'll go try it right now.

Oh crap.
It didn't work. It said the spell function need to have an ID after it in line 1. What does that mean?

Okay, let's make it less generic. Try:
player-> RemoveSpellEffects, "chameleon"
and
player-> RemoveSpellEffects, chameleon
One of those should work. You may have to drop the comma. Try with and without.

Thanks again.
I'll get right on it.

Well...
I can now talk to a one person who I wasn't able to before. It seems to be working, though I still appear see-through. While I'm at it, my three year brother got on the computer and some hid my map menu. How do I get it back?

The answer to the map menu and all other menus should be in your manual. Let's get back to your problem at hand.
You say you can talk to one person, now. Is that because you've only talked to one person? Or have you talked to many, and only one worked?

Well, I've so far contacted one that I hadn't been able to contact before. Should I try another just to make sure?

Certainly. Try a few. Make sure you move to a different area (it can be indoors, or just down the block), save your game, exit, and reload. Then if your character is still transparent, type that SetChameleon command as I suggested it above, and see if that resets your image.

Well, another person I wasn't able to contact before just talked to me.

Once again, thank you. If you're not busy, may I ask another question or two?

I am busy, but I"ll try. First, though, please see if your questions are answered in our forum already, by using our search function. If they turn up nothing, and our walkthrough can't help you, put up a new thread for each subject.

Well...
I was just wondering how to use a mod? Oh, and if I can get two construction contracts? That's it from me.

I just did a search on mods in the thread titles on this forum, and instantly found a few threads that either explained how to download and use mods, or linked to sites that explained them.
Not to be harsh about this, but please do your own homework. We're glad to help when you can't find the answers, and your first question was a good example of that. The rest is already on site.
As the question this thread was created to handle was answered, the thread's closed.
