Fishing

The very first time i played Fable, i made an evil character. I got the fishing rod, and every time i went to a fishing area the fishing ripple stayed there no matter how many fish/items i caught. With every other character i created after that one, the ripple goes away after i catch one item. Does that change for anyone else too? Or was it just a glitch? Are you supposed to be able to use the same fishing spot indefinately? Or not? Just curious...
