Guild apprentice wife or no?

I have a Guild apprentice engaged to me, but no house. when i bring her to my marital home in Bowerstone town south, she repeats a house would be nice. plz help me! 
As for marrying a guild apprentice, I managed to do so by giving her the ring when I arrived in Bowerstone South (and yes, I bought the house by then). I suggest try to give her the ring again or reload your previous save game and try to woo the apprentice again.
