grr - game/patch assistance

ok, so I tried to install v1.2 ( and my game wouldnt work after that )
and apparently I needed to install v1.0 before I installed 1.2.
So, I deleted the game and re-downloaded via steam.
But, my game still is not opening up
argh, any help? and any links for v1.0 ?

If you bought your game online and downloaded it, chances are its already 1.2. Which means if you tried to upgrade it again, you might have killed it. Im betting its this, because its nearly impossible to find this game on disk now.

didnt know that lol, thanks alot.
Hmm, well I think I might uninstall again. Defrag the PC ( maybe it will sort something out ) then re-download it.
If it doesnt work, might have to kill myself. Need to play the game again, its like heroin :'(

Same problem!
People if you have had any idea how much trouble this game has caused me you'd want to commit suicide with me. After you do the patch 1.2 (ive not tried the 1.0 thing) does the little rectangular box come up "vampire masquerade bloodlines" then your screen goes black and back to desktop? If so and you've got it sorted please help me out!
