Spawning characters

With the majority of people being for argyle and its persistant world. Wouldn't one assume the world to be quite large and therefore how would the spawning work.
Would someone simply log on and have to walk miles to get to their chosen guild house, or can the player choose where to spawn?

The following is copied from the new Argyle site. For anyone interested in joing the BotB, since we seem to be heading for Argyle, I strongly recommend thourough examination of that site. It's pretty damn cool.
For persistent gaming players will likely start in one of the major cities detailed on our map - Arberdan, Soberdan, Argon, Hozzle, Hemdale, Shroudgard, Port Hope or the Harbor. For module or campaign gaming players will start where the adventure starts, which could be a city or the middle of nowhere. For the truly adventurous players we’re hoping we can have some sort of random starting point, so the player will never know where exactly they’ve begun.

Ack! NO! You may not shorten my name to Moe! You may drop the 'der,' if you like, but no more - under threat of pain!

The only reason I know it is because I read a post in which he told us what it was.

Right-o, Nippy. Monk it is; but not the kind of monk put forth as Monks in D&D - a REAL monk - a man of the cloth - therefore, a cleric - as Xandax will see when he gets around to posting MY character.

Ohhh, a serious Monk. I believe that you would be a dual Cleric/Monk to get real spells? Or perhaps a Cleric that does not use blades...

Noooo - just let him be a pure cleric - we need thoese

I think Average Joe was talking about being a pure cleric as well ... BTW: if there is a real scarcity of us healers, I have thought I make some money off all you paladin & fighter types: "You wanna little curing? OK, that'll be 25 gold, please."

@Moench - I don't seem to have your character - have you PM'ed me or submitted via website?

I PM'ed you - a total of three times now. The first was just asking if you were the guy to talk to; the second had all my info (and you responded to this one, so you should have it); the third, sent just a moment ago, had corrected stats. Take a look through your inbox, but I can send the stuff again.
