I usually don't pickpocket as I normally play good characters. However yesterday I did some at the beard and as a result came across a very nice Warhammer. As a result I looked on the walkthrough and discovered that it is supposed to be a reward for defeating the Tan'nari . However I have never yet been given it despite having defeated it many many times. Anyone have any idea why?

I always assumed I didn't get it because I pickpocketed it before completing that quest I've never been given it as a quest reward either so it must be a bug or something.

Hurgan will reward you with the warhammer only if: 1) you accepted his quest to retrieve the Soultaker dagger from Durlag's Tower, 2) you said you wanted to talk about compensation, 3) you had a fairly high Reputation when you said you wanted to talk about compensation (otherwise, he would have offered you 2000 gold instead of the warhammer), and 4) the demon is dead.

Technically, Hurgan will give you the warhammer if two conditions are met when you talk to him: 1) the demon is dead, and 2) the global variable "Hurganhamm" is set to 1.

That's it then. I've never asked for compensation. Thanks for info.

Your method probably makes most sense as by the time you've completed the quest, you don't really need it anymore.

Just discovered that I can't export it into BG2. Is this because I'm using Tutu, or is it impossible in the standard game as well? It's a shame as my dual-wielding ranger-cleric would be much better off with two decent warhammers. As you probably realise, he is so clumsy that he drops everything due to the shock of finding himself in BG2.
