I just made a stupid mistake of returning to Chorrol wearing THAT mask that you get for completing a certain line of quests, the one that gives you extra bag weight and allows you to detect life.

Anyway guards pounced on me straight away and as you know, arrest inst an option when wearing that, they want my blood.

So I run into the fighters guild and completed my quest, then the guard comes in behind me to kill me and all the fighters guild attack him and kill him, so more guards come in and they kill them also.

Anyway i go to a new town (without mask) pay my fines and all rosey again, so it's been about a week game time and I return to chorrol, as soon as a fighters guild member stepped outside the guild hall two guards attacked him, then out come all the fighters and more guards come, guard shot that evil mage and she joins in.

Chorrol is chaos, I have loads of guards fighting loads of fighter/mages guilds in the streets, dead guards all over the place and although they leave me alone it's been like this last 2 times I came to town, can it be stopped? will it stop?

It started with my guild master saying meet him at his house to discuss a mission, he stepped outside and it's now like a warzone.
Fun at first OC, but it's gonna end up with dead guards all over the place.

Short version: on 360, unless you have a saved game from before you got in the first fight, Chorrol will probably be the scene of a blood feud until all of your allies or all of the guards are dead, even if you stay on the sidelines.

Long version: First off, for future reference if you take the mask off before the guards attack you they will act confused and wander away. Even if they've already attacked you, if you remove it during the battle and then yield they will also let you go. However, once the fight starts, anybody who is your ally (in the same faction as you, fighters guild, thieves' guild, whatever) and sees the guards attacking you will join the fight (on your side). In doing so, they will get a bounty that will never go away because they won't pay the fine or do the time. So, even if you flee combat and things calm down, they will get start fighting again the next time they encounter a guard.

haha i did something like that purposly at the arcane university. each time i go there is like 10 daedric daggers on floor for me and like 20 guards on the ground with apprentices

I have to confess to starting fights at the Arcane Uni myself, er, like every time I play a mage. First thing I do when I've qualified is make a Frenzy spell, max power for 10 seconds, then cast it on the nearest magister. Every time I go back they're too busy fighting to bash my ears with their inane, extremely repetative dialogues.

Yea I've done something similar too. As a level 43 character I would sometimes feel like going on a rampage to test out how powerful I was. In short I killed about 59 Imperial Guards, and about 12 Palace Guards, along with dozens of civilians before I got bored. Just to let you know I did this all without dying and eventually the guards just gave up. So I guess that the only way to stop them of fighting is too slaughter lots and lots of guards and hopefully they'll give up. If not the only way to stop is until the guards kill every fighters/mages guild member because the guards are infinite and the guilds aren't.

haha, the first time i got my touch of rage spell, (went on a spell buying spree), i thought it was useless, but i used it in Bravil, now its basicly a ghost town. And i think i killed the City Swimmer argonian.
