How are we supposed to know? We don;t have a clue what you like, and everyone has different tastes. All I can say is that I thought it was a terrible game, and uninstalled it, the furthest I managed to stomach the game was just after getting control of the fort, so I gave it a good go. On the other hand some people love the game, the only way to find out is to try it yourself, after all you've payed your money, might as well try and get some value for it.

Depends on what you are looking for.
Graphics: If you are looking for graphics, for a game this size, NWN2 is not leading the pack.
Gameplay: D&D. What do you want to know about D&D? Throwing dice. That's basically it.
Performance: Chunky programming. And it is unlikely your PC.
Storyline: Pretty good. Not outstanding though. kotor1 was a lot better. Squaresoft's FF7 fares much better. NPCs are detailed and colourful.
Compared to NWN1 OC, its good. To me, HotU is comparable.
Worth your time? You mean RPG? Yes... why not?
It was mentioned in another thread, I find myself creating characters again and again.... hardly got past CHapter 1.
Immersive? Yes. Impressive? Ok. Worth playing? For RPG scene... yes.

That's not DND. That's D20, D&D is the idea and the idea goes in with the story, D20 is the crappy stat based rules.
Personally, I thought NWN 2 was spectacular. I found absolutely nothing wrong with the game, the story was great, the DND rules were easily implemented and most work exactly as I expect, the NPC's all have unique stories and ideals that fit there backgrounds, not to mention there personalities differ enough to really make you think hard about what side you're gonna be on.
Unlike NWN 1 and most games, playing an evil character isn't all about simply killing people. This is one of the VERY few games that got Good and Evil right.
All in all, it's a bloody brilliant game, but this is my perspective. If there's a demo, you might want to try it, form your own opinion.

I agree with you that it is a brilliant game. But, there were a huge number of bugs that didn't manage to ruin the game. Always found a solution to any problem and bug.
And, I thought that the storyline was completely brilliant, mainly because of your companions which have fantastic personalities of their own. Khelgar, Neeskha and Qara. Will remember the quarrel they had for a long time.
Only drawback was the long load times between areas which were generaly small.

Ops. It's D20. My bad. Thanks.
That's 3 recommendations for NWN2.
IMO, the game would have sky - rocketed if the multiplayer options were improved.
Drunkside. What other games have you played?

I liked NwN2 - it was no Baldur's Gate series (then again IMO no RP game have gotten close to that
), but it is still one of the better D&D games, and CRPG, I've played in my time. Leagues ahead of the original NwN, and it was good for a couple of play through. Worth the money in my view, so if you own it, then there is no reason not to play it if you like CRPGs.

I'd say it's definitely worth playing. I think you'll definitely get enjoyment out of the time spent. It's not as good as Baldur's Gate, but better than Neverwinter Nights I.

Well i play kotors over and over again... And i have played ff7, but didnt find its story so great... And nwn i play in internet, pvp... I have played the oc but never finished the two other campaigns. And I just finished playing fable for the first time. Then ohm... Yea, im GONNA play bg;s, but have just tested the first too, havent really even made a char for myself...Oh yeah i liked morrowind but didnt like oblivion. And i play JKA in internet as well.
But mostly, i play for fun, and didnt like the beginning of nwn2 and thats why im asking this
EDIT: ZOMG i noticed that the mask of the betrayer is released!!!! Does it raise the level cap??? Id love a cap of 40 again, My brains think epic ya know

They could have done better with NWN2, however they did do much better at Mask of the Betrayer, so even if you didn't like NWN2 you should try MotB.

True, provided the bugs don't get you. I managed to solve one of my two game stopping ones, am still lost about the other and have lost all will to play. Will probably start over, eventually. In a year or two ... well ok, sooner than that but I am too ticked off to enjoy it properly now.

Drunkside, patience can be very rewarding. Stick to games that seem sucky at first and you might find that they develop into classics. And just because they raised the level cap to 30 you are going to play MotB???? So, all that matters to you is a high character level and not the storyline and gameplay?
P.S I liked Oblivion. Freedom without bounds. How many games give you that?

HUOH you got it all wrong.... I dont have TIME to play everything i wish, but im dumb and still buy alot of games... I just test them and leave them to wait for an emty spot in my calendar... And I do care of the story and all that, even more than most people do... But NWN2 has so much classes to choose from, and in level cap20 games you cannot really make unigue or original guys, thats why level cap 30 is better... And in multiplayer, the more levels, the better
And oh yeah, im somewhat of a power player.. well as much as my kind of guy can be who doesnt have enough time to play very much
And im all the time making good characters in all games, ones that can beat anything, and i do enjoy it... Some of you might enjoy having a high str from rdd, but i dont. And RDD is one of the wackiest classes in the game, fighter has more 1)ab 2)more dmg.
And yes, Oblivion gives freedom, but its TOO free if you ask me... And Oblivions story sucked, The best is Dark brotherhood storyline
And oh yeah, I have now played NWN2 in the weekend, and you were all right: It rocks!!!!! Im in the Neverwinter now, and have been doing the quests for the watch, And when i last time stopped the watch house was in flames and all kind of second rate crap bandits and mages tried to kill me... And so i slaughtered them all... But its really one of the best games ive played if we look at the REAL roleplaying section... It has the same feeling of being THERE if you know what i mean as KOTOR.
SOOOO ty all for talking me into this!!!!

Just remember the advice...
Save often and in different slots.
The game has more bugs than a small ecosystem.
