ok, in an interview it said taht they had some top secret doohickey to see if ur stats went up way too high in the off line time.. well.. hmm...interesting.
but the thing is.. there will be cheaters and a previous answer was that the DM cud just kick them out.. well.. if there's going to be persistent HUGE worlds (argyle) then who's gonna look out for cheaters? the servers mite not even have DM and then there are more subtle ways to cheat.. gosh, i really hate cheaters.. u never seem to be able to stop them all.

I've got a solution for you mate. We introduce them to the ends of our weapons...or spells. A corpse can't cheat, now can it.

i'd like to see u try and stab a cheater that's a god.. it'd be nice if a member of the guild cud put up a 24/7 server for the guild and sometimes watch over it. or like answer emails complaining bout certain ppl.. or better yet, just a private place for guild members. nah... no fun in that. we need to be in Argyle! that's the only place that will mean anything. it's the only place where we can set up a big frikkin guild hall and everyone likes those..

Usually cheaters are solo players, so maybe all the guilds could form a treaty to band together against cheaters.

Exactly, i wasn't planning on taking on some fool playing with godly powers he doesn't understand on my own. With fifty of my friends behind me, i'm sure we might be able to handle the situation. And i won't be doing any stabbing, Xavier. I've already stated that i detest blades of any sort. The ends of my quarter-staff will serve just as well.

Wasn't there a whole guild that was caught cheating in Everquest? I read about it in a magazine. How will defend ourselves from whole guilds?

How can you cheat if your character is kept on the server? Where does Argyle require characters to be stored?
And there's the Character Vault, of course. That requires you to tone down any god-like aspects. Dunno how robust that will be. I guess it's too complex to not have some minor glitches and exploits.
