Trouble Lowering Prices on Manaan

I was able to successfully defend Sunry and had the court find the Sith guilty of conspiracy, but the prices in the shops didn't go down. Does anyone know why that is? I don't want to spend 6000 credits for the combat sensor! Please help!

Where did you hear that from?

As far as I know, I don't remember prices in Manaan fall after the Sunry case (I defended him successfully too).

According to both the Prima strategy guide and the walkthrough provided on ign.com, if you are able to sway enough of the judges into finding Sunry not guilty (primarily by persuading the witnesses to testify the way you want them to), "the prices throughout Manaan's shops are significanly lowered". It's the "subsidies" that the Selkath judges are referring to when they find the Sith guilty of conspiracy at the end of the trial. Please note I'm also talking about the Xbox version of the game, if that matters.
I'm starting to wonder if the fact that I cleared out the Sith base before I did the trial has something to do with it. Some of the Selkath I talked to while walking around wanted to stay away from me because of my destruction of the base. Just a thought.
Anything you can find out would be greatly appreciated.

Well, it's strange because I heard this from 2 diffierent sources. Plus, in the Prima strategy guide, there is a very specific point system outlined that tells you exactly how many points you get for each answer during the trial, and it tells you how many points you need to achieve the lowered prices. But, considering how bad the Prima guide is, I can't rule anything out. It's just wierd because the ign.com guide is very good and they talk about the same phenomenon.

Plus, even the Selkath judges hint at it in the game.

think of it this way : not many people are going to lower the prices on most goods, only because you successfully defended sunry, most people dont even know him ! lol this is definitly a rumor, so if i we're you i would pay up if you want the combat censor

Considering the different sources that I heard this from, and considering there is quite a detailed point system in place for this, I don't think it's a rumor. I'm thinking that the problem has something to do with the fact that I'm playing a dark side character, or I did something along the way that negated the price reduction.
If you can sway enough of the Selkath judges, and if you pay attention at the end of the trial, they even mention that there will be sanctions placed on the Sith for their obstruction of justice. When I saw that, I thought I was golden. But nothing changed.
BTW, I gave up and just shelled out the credits for the combat sensor. One good thing about playing the dark side, there are plenty of opportunities to make money.
