Water Jump in Shadow Ruins?????

I have been at this for hours now and I can't seem to get across without falling in the water or time running out. Is there a trick to do it?
There are some suggestions in the [url="http://www.gamebanshee.com/dungeonlords/walkthrough/sruinskingstonsarea.php"]walkthrough[/url], and there have been numerous threads on the subject posted in this forum. Have you looked in either place for some answers?
