Hey, i'm going to start an argonian file and I wanted to know what is a good class that prefers to use the water breathing ability (alot... i mean, argonians need to be in the water a good bit), swords, marksman, maybe a little bit of magic, plus security and/or sneak...

from my point of view marksman would be useless in water just because if you shoot an arrow in water it goes a good 2 feet maybe then starts to rise to the surface of the water. also target magic doesn't work in water. if you would use magic i suggest illusion/restoration so you can alter you speed and str and such with restoration and make yourself invisible and paralyze your enemy using illusion

If you are into realism, why not avoid using armour altogether? Just use enchanted clothes to offer you some needed protection. After all, taking a swim in full plate armour looks rather silly, though it is plausible in the game.
But, I personally enjoyed playing with my Argonian character which did use heavy armour for protection, but did not use any weapons for means to attack. For example, I used “Touch” spells to injure the foes my character met. And the combat was pretty much like your basic sword fight, with the obvious exception of after blocking the attack with a shield, I used a spell to strike the foe.
It was rather nice to do for a change.
But as for skills to use
Armour or no armour, it is your call.
Illusion, the Paralyze and the spells Night Eye or Night are enough to make this a valid skill for any character.
Restoration, Absorb Health spell, a great spell, the damage which you do will heal yourself.
Destruction, if you like fire, ice and lightning.
Hand to Hand, well, you can do sneak attacks with Hand to Hand, and use a shield while punching. And if your mana runs low, punch your way from the fray.
Sneak, sneaking is fun and sneak attacks are good. But staying hidden can be done by the use of Illusion skill too.
Block, it makes the enemy stutter.
Armourer, it increases your strength, or endurance, more health or more loot. And keeps your gear fixed.
I would say those are quite good skills.
As for spells to use or for you to make, I like offensive Illusion spells. For example I like this spell, self made:
Foul Touch
Absorb Health 10 Points for 4 Seconds.
Paralyze Target for 4 Seconds.
The range for both effects is 10.

Never go for a preset class, always make your own (and give it a good name so when you show it off it doesn't suck).

use water a lot huh.....
I'm not sure any class uses the water a lot. Guess that really depends on how you approach the character. I'd play with how you prefer to kill. Heavy armor...that will weigh you down a good bit, eh. If you want to play in the water play in the water. I'd really think that a thief or assassin would do well in water. or a magic user.
I play in the water with a khajiit , Spec. in stealth, sign of the thief, with acrobatics, illusion or alteration, light armor, marksman, security, sneak and blade.
Make a character, try different things, it may take some time but it will be very worth it.
Oh and by the by.....If i saw a filthy lizard running out of the water at me in heavy armor and a sword, when I was done laughing....I'd kill it on the princible that it would be just plain silly.

i agree that some touch based magic would work well. If your in deep water and you lure some one in after you. some one who isn't an argonian so cant breath under water. cast a long paralyze spell and they will drown mostly before they even become unparalyzed
I like to go in water using my wood elf. i got madness bow/arrows and i poke my head and upper body out of water and then shoot some one then retreat back to water.
