Missing items from game?

Post by Wubsy »

I've noticed that in my game I am missing some items. The most common one is the unfinnished human leather that should be in the tanner's shop after you've unmasked his killing spree. I've run through the game twice now and it's happened on both occasions. I've reinstalled and it didn't help, I'm patched, and am running a few basic mods. (ease of use, basically just the stacking items component and no helmets)

If this has happened to anyone else I'd really like to know, I played BG2 years ago and this never occurred. I played it with a different copy of the game than the one that I currently play with, so is is possible that I have a corrupt game disc or something? Thanks in advance.

Sounds unlikely, are you sure you're not just missing it because you're too eager with the tab button, and it's not in the bed and not a box showable by tabbing? ^^

Otherwise I'd guess it has something to do with the mods. Sounds strange though. Any other particular items that you've missed?

That's the only one I can think of offhand. How could I have missed it? I checked in all the containers in his home. If I remember correctly.

It should be in that box in the center of the room where you fight the rune assassins, right? If I'm mistaken I'd appreciate if someone told me.

The leather is on the floor above the assassins, on one of the beds. It won't get highlighted if you put your cursor over it or press tab, but your cursor will change to the loot cursor if you put it over that location.
