Level 2 of Catacombs you need an area to get into (Large Key needed, northern area) I read that you enter it throught the lower level. But I tried that. Level 3 Catacombs all stairs up are accounted for. And the 4th level the prison level has no extra stairs accounted for.

Also there are 2 locked chest in the Main Hall that are side by side (eastern side of dungeon. I can't open them even by raising my rogues dexterity.

i know the exact same 2 chests your talking about. the way i got into them was by smashing them. i dont remember what i received from them though.

at some point in the game there will be a portal to enter that part of the catacombs. visit beriand to see if you have reached that point.
