I performed a ritual of magic at a place of power. What does this do? I didn't see any bonus like say I drank a potion or did a whetstone. What are these places of power?

Basically they tell you that it improves all your signs power, Don't know if that's true or not, but I find the Igni sign a lot more potent after using a place of power. also they can later be used as... waypoints, or teleport sites, but I think that was just for one specific quest,

Well, it isn't really much of a spoiler however ....

By performing the ritual of magic you will get a bonus to your sign intensity, and it should be shown as a bonus icon on your medallion.
I believe it is 100% bonus.

At a point in time, you'll get a teleport stone from the Alchemist Kalkaris or what he is called, which allows you to use places of power to teleport to his lab. The time in the game you can use this is limited to the same chapter I believe

what about the other rituals?

I'm in ch4, and idk if there's goin to be more rituals or not. I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone else, but what do the other rituals do? if no one wants to spoil the game or whatever send me a message(if it's possible here. my first post LOL) and tell me what they are.
I love this game, but wish it was a little more detailed on the tutorials and info in the journal, and had some more info about things like this. Unless I missed something somewhere, there's no tutorial or journal entry about the place of power or performing rituals.

And they were only used for that one quest. I tried to use them to port, and no such luck after that quest was over, unless they throw another teleport quest in lol

Getting the other rituals to work requires obtaining skills under Intelligence.

Once you have Knowledge of Cleansing Ritual, clicking the place of power will reduce your toxicity level from potions to zero.

Once you have the Knowledge of Life Ritual, it will restore your hit points.
