Playing an evil character

I played the game once through as good, but I kind of wanted to get Geoffrey and Torien, and both will only join you if you are evil.
However, I heard that Torien will join you if you have enough persuasion. Is the same true for Geoffrey?
Anyway, I started off with a "sold your soul" character so that I could take good quests and still remain evil. However, despite the fact that my alignment will stay evil, will Geoffrey and Torien get mad if I take too many good quests?

I'm a level 41 evil character. Really Great! Melee Spellcaster. You do not have to take sold your soul background. There is a hemet that gives you +20 magic aptitude and -20 alignment. This happens every time you put the hemet on. So I bougt it real early in the game and just kept taking it off and putting it on and my magic aptutude spikes to 100 and anf alignment dropped to -100, I have done all the good quests (and some evil ones like assasinating the king of Caladon) and my alignment is still at -100 without me ever having put the helm on again. Also great for followers cause then you can make them powerfull mages early on in the gaem. You need no persuasion for Torian Kell. I had exeprt persuasion, but geoffry as not interested (didnt have the option to ask him) but was with my good character with no persuasion, but didnt join cause I wasnt eil enough. Evil Charater is great cause you can use the Bagallian Scourge as a Melee weapon and it REALLY KICKS ASS 5-30 damage, 17 speed, poison on every hit and randomly casts lightningh boltm quench life and harm on your enemies

I took educator for my backgounmd so that all my followers would have expert Melee and dodge, but up to you, I think sold your soul is a waste on account of the helmet. Good party members are torian Kel, Keep Virgil and make him evil, Tollo Underhill and an elf mage you find in Tseng Ang

I think that if you become persuasion master, you'll be able to have evil characters in your party even if you're evil and vice versa.

What Dirtman said is true, party members will ignore your alignment status.

It's in the basement of the castle in Ashbury.

The helmet is also sold by gypsies sometimes. I think using it is rather stupid though.

Torian is primarily neutral isn't he?
Anyway, Sebastian is the way to go

@Eadaii
As others have said, both of them can be recruited if your character posesses master skill in persuasion.
Sold your soul is definately a good way to go if you enjoy doing the goodie-two-shoes quests and want to keep your aligment evil without slaughtering a village off the coast. And GawainBS is right, they only care about your overall aligment, not that much about the quests that you take on.

This is just a easily misusable glitch and should be ignored until it is fixed. There are many ways to develop 'uber' characters, using gliches or getting cheats to the game off the net is a considerable way to the folk who want to play trough the game hack-and-slash style.

Nope. Torian Kel is an evil character, even if his dialogue will actually make you think that he's good. And a fact about Torien Kel. If the first time you enter the Ancient Temple, you don't have negative allignment, the crumbling skeleton that will eventually become Torian Kel won't be there at all. So make sure you are evil the first time you enter the Ancient Temple if you want Torian Kel.
