did anyone pay attention on the in-game timer itself? for everyone that played this game before, how long it takes for you to finish this game (not real time, but game time)?
if my memory serve me right, my best time is around 6days... to reach the end boss. (all quest fulfill) (except the evil marduk book quest, i hope to spell his name right)
how do i do that? well, first of all, pause a lot. 2)when enter a new map try to assign all members to explore. 3) always have someone waiting at the exit to save time (this game is not like ice wind dale, need all parties member to get close before exit). 4) try not to sleep. (8hours wasted).
*conversation proceed in pause condition. no time wasted. chat as long as you want.

just for sharing, thanks,

Uhmmm...
No offense intended here, but why on earth would you want to race through a game like Planescape Torment?
Even if you've played it a lot... I don't know, it's the sort of game I personally like to savour. That's just me, of course ;)

Have to say, DW's was also my first thought when reading the initial post. Not that you shouldn't do that if you so chose, norlkrivc. I just fail to see why one would want to do a speed run through what is probably the most deeply satisfying RPG ever made.

I'd be crazy not to agree with DW and fable on this one. :)

Torment is probably the only game I would never like to speed run.

first of all, thanks for your opinion. ok, how should i put this: after play through a few times... the same game; one always looking for new challenge. i did try to play it a few approach: as choatic evil (it get me kill by the lady-game over, i think i do it too over); mage (ultimate goal to collect all spell) or thief; or lawful good (the good play); and .... speed challenge!!! well, thats just how i play this game evertime, with a new agenda added by myself.

by the way, for all out there: play modron quest fast can grant you edge if one is lazy to run, cause you can use it as teleporter (except on curst/fotress regret).

you can get brainstorm hammer (the red one) early by slain a few dabus... although the more appropriate way is to pray. thanks,

Well, OK, if that's what you like. I suppose you've already finished Planescape:Torment many times, so now you're searching for a new approach - although it's widely appreciated for it's great dialogues and story, it is still also a great RPG. It is just unusual you chose this particular RPG when Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale would be perfect for that type of challenge. Guess you just like the setting - can't blame you ;) .
