I didn't get a manual when I bought this game(BG2). I have played Icewind Dale and thought it would be like that. Are there alot of differences in the two games and is there somewhere I can look at or download an intruction manual to BG2

The games are very different, ID II is a 3rd Edition (or Turd edition as I call it) game and BG II is a real AD&D game.

You can download a BG II manual here:

I'm playing the Shadows of Amn. Will it be the same as the throne of Bhaal?

They're essentially the same game, ToB was bolted onto the end of SoA.

PS If you bought the version of the game with a bonus disk check the discs that came with the game, the manual's probably on one of them.

Throne of Bhaal is an expansion pack for Shadows of Amn. The basic rules, classes, experience tables, spells, etc. will remain the same; however, Throne of Bhaal adds an extra class and "High Level Abilities" to the game, which were described in a very short manual that accompanied the original release. Online references can tell you everything you need to know about the additional Throne of Bhaal content, but you will need the original Shadows of Amn manual.

As galraen suggested, there is probably a copy of the manual on one your CDs. Look for the file named "Baldur's Gate 2 manual.pdf", or look in your installation directly after you install the game.

Good luck!
