Alt?

They seem similar and made by the same companies. In icewind dale you could hit the Alt key and it would highlight the objects in the area you could pick up, open, use etc... Is there any key or function in Baldur's Gate that has the same function?

Tab just shows the characters hps. it does'nt highlight the doors or chest you can open.

TAB only works if you have ToB installed. In SoA alone, there is no key which highlights containers/swag/stuff..

You didn't note that you were SoA-only. I think one of the tweak packs, possibly the one from Gibberlings Three, adds that for SoA. Check out the readme on their website.

I installed the ToB cd and now Tab highlights all objects. I think i'll download my bonus cd and see what that has on it. Thanks

As I recall, the bonus CD had a pair of merchants in Ribald's and the Copper Coronet. These were also included in the Gibberlings Three's Tweak Pack.
