Hi everyone,
I am about to start a new game and am interested in having a fighter theif npc. Problem is, there arn't any. Can anyone recommend a mod fighter/theif (either duel or multiclass)? Or, alternatively, is it possible to use shadowkeeper to change a current bioware npc to be a fighter/theif? valyger would, in my opinion, be most appropriate in that he can already hide in shadows and backstab, but i was also thinking of jan, as i like his banters and i cant currently fit him in the party i am thinking of.
Cheers

It is indeed possible to customise your NPCs as you wish with Shadow Keeper. Remember however, if you change them into a class which would have some abilities, you will need to set their level at 0 in order to be sure they get all said abilities (e.g. thief skills, weapon profs etc).
To get a 'pure' NPC, remember to reset their HPs, weapon profs etc accordingly. (e.g 1 HP for level 0 and no skills at all)
Further, for a fighter/thief multiclass, I only know of the Valen mod, though I understand she can be bit of a handful..
Happy gaming!

There's a couple of mod options available:
Amber, a female Tiefling with SoA romance here
Amber - The BG2 NPC Mod Project
Fade, who by default is a straight thief
Fade Romance Mod
she can be changed to a F/T with an adaption here
Sorcerer's Place - Baldur's Gate 2 Mods
Fade is also a female with romance options in SoA
If you use Fade be very careful in your first dialogue with Aran Linvale.

There is Youshimo, though it is not a long-time decision,he can dual to a fighter and use his stealth abilities.
I read somewhere about a trick that will allow you to keep him after you free Imoen. You can try it out.

thanks guys.
i have read about valen before - she seems very overpowered, and i am a fan of a challange. though i do like the way that she seems to sometimes take decisions for the npc - this does not happen enough, in my view.
i had already looked at fade. my question about straight theives is - would they be able to chunk a mage in one backstab? or would fighter/theives for that matter? particurlaly by ToB time.
amber looks like what i'm looking for - might giver her a go, cheers.
thanks for the responses, honestly appriciated
