This is more of a rant than anything else, and isn't directed at anyone in particular.
Damn that Infinity Engine!!!!!! Is anyone else losing valuable turns in ROMD because they're used to the space bar pausing the game? This is killing me . . . and my ROMD characters!
I ran into the zombies near the fountain in the opening area, and instinctively hit the space bar. The game didn't pause, so I hit it again. I then remembered that space skips your turn and unleased a bluestreak of words that would have gotten my hide tanned back in middle school. My ranger and rogue lost intitative and the zombies got the drop on me, killing two of my characters and wounding the others.
Between BG, IWD, BG2, and ToB, I have devoted an absurd amount of my life hitting the space bar to get a game to pause while I set up. Now I've got to unlearn a couple of years worth of keystroke habits. Someone please validate my self-esteem and tell me that I'm not the only one who's slow to embrace this new engine!
