Hey all. I am trying the Aerie romance and have hit a snag or two. Accidentally I got my rep down to 5 and everyone is complaining so I went into SK and bumped it up to 20 just to shut them up for a while. They are STILL complaining about it and I have mostly good npcs.

My second problem is I think I blew the romance with Aerie. I slept with Phaere in Ust Natha and Aerie went off on me saying "I'm not the person she thought I was" and wanted to be alone. Have I ruined it or can it be saved?

I am pretty sure that once you sleep with Phaere anyone you are romancing will end it, and there is no going back. If you have a convenient save point, I'd suggest returning to it.

Also they will continue to complain until you change your rep in game, do something good or bad (preferably good) that raises or lowers rep and it should sort itself out.

Actually, that's not quite the way it works.

Aerie has, shall we say, racial issues. She's an Avariel, so she hates the Drow, who have hunted her people for sport. If you sleep with Phaere, Aerie says, "You... you let that drow woman... touch you, didn't you? You let such an evil thing... all over you? I just... I just can't understand why you would allow such a thing to happen! D-don't bother saying anything... I don't want to hear it! I... I just don't think you're the person I thought you were, <CHARNAME>. I'd... like to be alone for a while." She doesn't leave the group, but the romance is over. There's nothing you can say to change it.

Viconia is not a romantic, to say the least. To her, sex is a sport, a power game, or solely for pleasure. She doesn't really care if you sleep with someone else; it doesn't end the romance. (However, she will warn you that you are being naive if you think that someone like Phaere is interested in your character for anything but the pleasure of your submission to her.) However, in keeping with her competitive nature, Viconia does muse upon the possibility of killing Phaere if she should ever get the chance (violence and sex are pretty much means to the same end for her).

It is possible to placate Jaheira if you tell her that you had no choice but to sleep with Phaere and say you're sorry that it happened. She says, "I am sorry too, and disappointed, but I suppose it could not be avoided... with you being male and in this guise. I shall... attempt to forget about it." It doesn't end the romance.

I don't know how all of the various NPC mods handle the situation with Phaere. However, I do know that Saerileth is completely uncompromising. She herself would submit to torture and death before she would ever violate an oath, and she expects no less of your main character. If you sleep with Phaere, Saerileth will cry in anguish, "Thou art false as hell!" and leave the group. If you avoid sleeping with Phaere, Saerileth says something like, "I knew I could trust you. I am glad that you did not have to suffer for your fidelity."

I don't think Viconia minds you gettin' it on with Phaere, but you blew your chances with an innocent elf.

hhmmmm.... My last save was in the Sahaguin City... Ugh, I now have to decide if the romance is worth it....

if you have tob i guess its worth, since the drow city is about 30-40 minutes playtime

depening if you do all the site quests ( elementaldoors, imprission sphere, illithid city, beholder layer, kua toa, demogorgons minions, the taverns pit/s, the slaved humans, derex the lich, and the god of slime, did i forget a quest ?


btw i was never able to give the real eggs to the demon, maybe because i dont play evil pcs, usually good or neutral, chaotic neutrel for the most part ...

Alternatively you could try fiddling with the global variables in Shadow Keeper.
While not the expert on this myself, perhaps a search or someone more knowledgable could prove helpful in this department.

This is far from my first playthrough. I have just never done much with the romances. I was playing an evil game but my pc crashed and I had to start over so I started another good party... Just wanted to explore some aspects I have been ignoring... Thanks all...
