I've read that items with SR need to be re-equiped constantly for the SR to actually work. There was a similar bug in BG where multiple Magic Resistance didn't stack unless you re-equiped them constantly as well. I did a little in game research and found this to be true. I hope I'm wrong; otherwise, the only way to get SR is to be a Drow. This would really suck. Please help. Thanks.

I don't think that is true. At least if you fully update your game. Never was a problem for me.
