Don't know if you've seen it, but take a look at
this YouTube video. Okay, it's got the very expressive Celtic soundtrack from the game, and a lot of obviously scripted camera stuff, but this is damned impressive. If the MGE were only capable of this kind of work on all machines, and without draining resources, it would be fantastic.

Just how any resources does it drain? The link in the video is dead.

Same problem here. It does look great indeed, but the central question is: what specs does it require?

I have a really powerful machine now. About 1.5g RAM, 512mbVRAM etc and I still can't run MGE smoothly. That old version would be easy but since distant statics were put in it's impossible. Even when it does run smoothly whenever you approach a town like Pelgiad or Ebonheart there's sure to be a tower with the missing middle part. I've given up hope on MGE and moved onto mods like Vality's speedtrees which are really nice and block out the fog behind them. If it was like Oblivion you could toggle Buildings, Trees and Objects separately but the freedom of the Morrowind CS does not allow such things.

Get it off the TES Nexus not PES. The version on PES is really old.

Same version: 3.3.2.
I would add to anybody that wants to use the MGE, be sure to check out the various active MGE threads, especially the one up at Elder Scrolls, in the Morrowind mods section. Just to get a sense of the tweaking you might have to do to get it to work, more or less.

Maybe not then. I remember reading somewhere that Timeslip didn't update at PES any more. Must have been imagining things.
