Graphics Card Question

Post by rearviewmirror »

Has anyone tried running Fable:TLC on an ATI Radeon 9250 video card? I know it's bottom of the line these days, but the Req. for the game says 64mb card. Of course with shader...
Anyway, I figure it might run on low settings, but I'd like to know if anyones tried it or is 100,000,000% sure it will not work.

Fable's not my top choice for RPG's, but with a 9250, I cant get much else.

Best RPG's that I want are obviously gonna be Oblivion:GOTY Edition and The Witcher.

Kotor games rocked..

Mmmm, I dont know for sure.
But 2 friends of mine have a decent computer.. and they can't run Fable without showing funny collours (like when they get drunk, eveything turns pink...) and its quite slow.
If your card realy is low end, as you say, it will mostlikely not do well...

RPG's these days require good videocards... and the requirments will only go up :P
I dont know if there is a Demo-Fable out there, Ill search.
Demo's are a good way of trying out your pc on that game.

EDIT:
Cant find a demo, sorry.
You will have to do on guess here. Just read very carefully what it requires, check eveything you have.. and well.. if you buy it and it doest work, you can always go back and trade it for another game, not?
Playing on the PC:
The Witcher (Currently deïnstalled)
Fable TLC (Currently deïnstalled)
Oblivion + SI + all DCL

I couldn't find one either. I wan tthe game, but can't risk losing the cash for nothing. Lol, I just need a list of cool games that have come out in the last 5 years that'd work on it for sure. So far I have

NWN: Diamond
Morrowind
I think Civilization 4
Possibly Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars

"If the Devil had a name, it'd be Chuck Finley." -Burn Notice

Your card should be able to run the game. Can't find your card in the supported video cards list but since your card is in the 9000 range, it should run fine. ;) I was still able to play Fable with no problems even though my Geforce 6200 was not mentioned on the list. :)
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

ATI Mobility Radeon X300 runs fine for me, so, i guess, your should do as well (they both are of R300 series after all).

@Loredweller- an Ati Radeon 9250 is nowhere NEAR the capabilities of an X300.

But as for the actual card, the 9250, it's perfectly capable of running fable (as I did it once on a much poorer card).

I run the game with one and it runs some sort of safe mode but otherwise it's fine. Also your RAM can determine how it runs.
I'll shank you!!!!
