mixed mage questions

Post by terran698 »

im a lvl 19 thrall with 55 strength 60 intelect 60 dexterity 60 agility 60 vitality and 54 honor, 16 in arcane celestial 7 nether 11. i have seen a 78 with blast nova and a 46 with fire ball and 54 with ice ball. i have not done the quest for wizard yet but i have the 3rd tier already chosen. my question is what should my other classes be? what is a good weapon for a wizard? does cataclysm hurt the caster or what does it mean in the info about devastating the caster? where do you get the ice storm, fire storm, fire missiles, the burning vapors, and freezing vapors spells? and what does the regen on items do? thank for any input you can provide.

Hmmm

Depends if you want to be a wizard who can fight to conserve spells or a wizard with same celestial tricks..

For the first I think that marauder or samurai is a good idea. Then dual wield an enchanted blade along with a dagger of winter. Worked for me.

For the second take monk or ?? (leads to stargazer) for casting or Paladin for fighting and a little casting.

I wouldn't go rogue because I don't think rogue is good I mean its not designed for combat imho. Unless just to save adv points for lock open and put the adv points towards magic??

The spells you either buy from the shops if you are in the mage guild (you are) there is more selection. But some you find on drops. Cataclysm is in the tomb of souls (choose magic as your reward) and it rocks. It doesn't hurt you but like some of the blast spells you can't cast anything for a little while after it.

Some of the spells in DL do not work. See the sticky.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

have to update

i hve chosen maurader for the second class on that character. i have beaten the tomb of souls with it and love cataclysm. i loved the magic i figured celestrial would be just as good so i made a monk/wizard (see my monk/wizard post) and love the celestrial magic as well but have not had strong enough monsters to use them to the full ability. but i must say that the wizard it the easiest way to beat the game as long as u dont feel bad about using glitches to make money to get 1k of each spell. i train on moonbeasts untill i am down to about 200 spells and have to camp for about an hour to replenish the books with around 6 or 7 in scribe. i will raise that later to around 20 to see what happens.
