So I built a new gaming computer and put Windows XP 64bit addition, so far every game I have put on it works really well but as soon as I loaded Neverwinter Nights my computer refused to run it. The regular autorun window will pop up but when I press play nothing happens.

Does anyone know of a patch or update that will fix my problem? or has anyone run into this problem with their CPU?

Could be memory conflicts. Try removing from memory such things as anti-virus checkers, contact managers, anti-spam tools, etc.

NWN will not run correctly on a 64 bit OS other than Linux.
You will need to run under an emulator or use an older computer.
If you were running a 32 bit system but with a dual processor, you could edit your nwn . ini to run on only one side.
Also, if you have a newer NVidia card, chances are it will have problems too, though the last update from NVidia seems to have corrected that problem.

If you have an older system still, it is well worth running the game on it. Especially with all the community modules and addons. It is a great game.

And that solution will giver your guest or children something to play on without tying up your main box.
