While looking through the Members List I found out that many members have 0 posts. What's up with that? Does anyone know?

Silence vs. spamming
Smiley :) wrote:While looking through the Members List I found out that many members have 0 posts. What's up with that? Does anyone know?
It's prudent to stick to the rule: if you have nothing to say, say nothing. :)
As Brian W. Aldiss, an English writer, once said, "Speech is silver; silence is golden; print is dynamite."

Perhaps some people get registered in order to vote in a certain poll, or they intend to ask a question but find the info in some other thread etc.

As far as the post count is concerned, I personally prefer 0 to 10,000 because IMHO 40% of those 10,000 is atrocious, merciless spam, 25% - mild, fat-free spam, 15% - lethargic spam and the rest 20% might or might not be viewed as a "valuable input". :mischief:
Unless the spammer is Fable: 50% of his 27,000 posts convey the message "thread closed" which can be classified as valuable input or vivisection, depending upon a member's point of view - jury box, galley or the defendant table. ;)

I have to say I like this spamological differenciation of yours. Shall we ask Kipi to broaden the SYM awards cathegories? DW was proposed for the spammer of the year, but is she doing the fat-free or the lethargic spam?

The burden of proof lies with whoever nominated DW. :) I've never called her a spammer, at least overtly. :p She is innocent until proven not so innocent. Besides, in view of the fact that she is the Moderator Wench, it is reasonable to presume that a healthy portion of her ungodly amount of posts should be the cold-blooded thread-closing and message-deleting. Let's say, 40%? :D

The alleged percentage of DW's spam (extra-virgin yet spicy) deserves a special detailed analysis (or inquest...), but not in this thread. :)

When a person is born on this planet, they get an account at GameBanshee. When they finally die, that account is activated, and they get to use it and all its features.

So yes, you're dead, but you probably knew that, already.

So, fabster, how are you related to the likes of Anubis and Hades? :speech:

Dressed casual. Djed pillars, dog-headed staffs and ankhs were optional. We left the rituals to the Seti set and the other nouveau types.

Why? Are you going to tell her, or something?

(Btw, I found out what I wanted so I have no idea what's going on here  . )

Not DW analysis - DW spam analysis. Remember? Extra-virgin and spicy spam, not extra-virgin and spicy DW... well, OK, maybe she is a tad spicy. What do you think? Should we start a new thread? Call it "Whips, Chains and Hot Peppa".

@Smiley

A weird crowd is spamming your thread away? Again? Oops...
Have I mentioned the benefit of having members with 0 posts yet? No? With them precious 0-posters around, cherished and cultivated as they should be, all threads would have a great potential for being 100% spamproof.

Djed pillars... the Raising of Djed... Sounds like something found in a naughty catalogue.
