I think someone made a Youtube clip, in which an alternate ending was made. In it, Carth tries to turn the female dark side protaganist back to the light. The protagonist in the clip agrees, and both die on the star forge.
It was quite well done, must have taken a lot of audio cutting to have the voice of Carth work.
