BGTutu or BG Trilogy

Hello

I decided to play the BG Saga once more, from beginning to the (not so) bitter end. :)
I heard lots of good stuff about Tutu and Trilogy, but I can 't decide on which one to install. I never tried any of them before.
Which do you prefer and why? Which mods/tweaks should I install with each one? (Talking about fixpacks and ease-of-use stuff.) Are there things I should watch out for?

Thanks in advance!

I use BGTutu, mostly because it makes it simpler to re-install either game. The mods i use are Unfinished Business, Sword Coast Strategems, Grey Clan Episode 1, BG1 Questpack and some custom kits from various sources.

I suggest EasyTutu, because most mods are primarily made for (Easy)Tutu these days. Also, it allows you to keep your BG1/BG2 installs separate, minimizing the number of issues with multiple mods.
EasyTutu

Here are some mods for Tutu, including Sirine's Call quest, and two new NPCs, Finch and Indira: Pocket Plane Group - Bending Baldur's Gate 2 and the Infinity Engine

BG1 UB is also very good. Pocket Plane Group - Bending Baldur's Gate 2 and the Infinity Engine

If you want to play with talking companions, banters and romances in BG1(just like BG2), try BG1 NPC Project. It's one of the most popular mods for BG1 Tutu:
G3: BG1 NPC Project

Also, there are two companion mods, Coran Friendship and Xan Friendship:
G3: Coran's BG Extended Friendship Talks for Tutu and BGT
Pocket Plane Group - Bending Baldur's Gate 2 and the Infinity Engine

Good luck, and have fun playing!

Thanks! I decided to go for Easy Tutu, with the NPC Project enabled, and the BGII Fixpack & Tweaks. I also remember that there was a mod that gave you special abilities after facing the trials in your pocketplane. Can any one remember which one that was? Would it give any problems with this set up?

Thanks in advance!

T. Restored Bhaalspawn Powers, by David Gaider

Quote David Gaider: "These are some extra Bhaalspawn abilities that the player was originally going to develop as he played out the challenges in the pocket plane, but they were cut in favor of the high-level abilities for all classes. There is a different set for good and evil, although many players are going to find that they get a mix of them. Perhaps the only negative is that it may be difficult to figure out what a couple of the powers do, as there is no way to get descriptions for special abilities (These can be found in the readme). For installation and uninstallation instructions view the readme."

Yes, that's the one. Strange, last time I installed it, I didn't get any extra powers...

Yes, I know what it means. After the challenges in the POCKET Plane (The one with Caspenar) in ToB, I still didn't get any special abilities...
