CLUA Command Cheats Add won't Save

I'm just trying to get through this game once to get a feel for the whole layout and tried to add the cheat option. My computer won't let me do that, using Notepad as the editor. Vista is the OS, and I suspect that might be the problem. I didn't have that problem when I tried this game years ago with Windows ME.

Any work arounds on this?

What is the problem? Vista won't let you use Notepad? Are you sure you added the correct line? Try adding both Cheats=1 and Debug Mode=1 under Game Options.

just a side note.... many of us here believe in playing the game at least once without cheats to get the REAL feel for the game. sometimes the cheats can give you a false feeling for how the game should be..... and of course, making the game too easy. while your working on getting the cheats running, why not try playing the game without them... trust me, you wont be disappointed without cheats

now to your question :)

i also vista OS and no problems adding the cheat to the baldur file, and using the cheats.... so vista isn't the problem. did you put the cheat in the correct spot in your notepad? the cheat goes under [Game Options] (not program options) and make sure you enter Cheats=1 (follow capitals!)
follow my information in the very first thread. CLUA Commands

let me know if this helps, if not, please give me the step by step process you did. and i shall see what i can do to help you out.

debug is only for BGII which has its own .ini file

cheats is only for BGI in it's own .ini file
