I'm playing through the Fallout games for the first time, and who knew that these 10+ year old games could be such a blast! I can see why there's a community for them even after all this time.

Unfortunately, I've got a strange bug in Fallout 2 in which monsters in the later game do not attack, ever. I can kill them, whatever, but they don't attack. The weird thing is, this is just in some of the later portions of the game. Earlier monsters have no trouble attacking. I can be more specific if need be.

Is this fixed in the patch, or can I fix it some other way? Anybody else have this issue?

I've not noticed this myself, so it could possible be fixed.
If you do not run the last official version at least - I'd very much recommend you patch to that (1.02e or something I believe), as many bugs are removed from the game by it.
