Hello,
I have question: which of this primary statistic (IN, CHA, BE) affect number of dialog possibilities with NPC´s? And what about skill Persuasion?
I know that CHA increases number of party members and Persuasion is important to persuade some followers to join you, but what else?
I mean, what statistic and skill is important for diplomacy style of playing Arcanum and what about your experience with this idea?

Thank you very much

Intelligence definitely gives you more useful responses, some quests you can solve the diplomatic way only with a high intelligence, because otherwise you will not be given the appropriate lines. Persuasion, as I understand it makes it easier for you to lie and be believed and that sort of thing; you could get the same lines with a low persuasion, but they would be ineffective.

I haven't played the game in ages btw, this is just how I remember it.

BE is the least important. It just determines the first reaction. With a high IN & probably CH, you can easily make up for it. Tiberius is right, IN determines the lines you get, so go for that.

Thanks for answers! It helps.

Ten minutes ago, I have finished Arcanum for first time with gun-women Isamaru. Arcanum is one of the best oldschool RPG I have ever played.
