Heya,

I've beaten Bloodlines multiple times in the past, but now I'm running into a problem I've never had before. After completing the Elizabeth Dane quest, I realized I hadn't done the Carnival of Death investigation of the Santa Monica Pier yet (because, somehow, I'd passed by all of those newspapers without reading them). So I went to my apartment building, picked up the quest, returned to the pier, and there's nothing to investigate.

I've got the official Bloodlines patch, which is what I've always played with, and never had this problem before. I don't use any of the unofficial patches.

Anyone else had this kind of problem? If so, is there an easy fix to it, or am I going to have to skip the Carnival of Death questline this game?

Probably you can still do the quest, the investigation on the pier isn't really connected in any way to the rest of the quest, you don't get xp for it and the future leads you get on the serial killer are unrelated to the pier investigation as far as I can tell. Spoiler:

just get the quest about finding Muddy from Kilpatrick and see where that lands you.
