Game stop working

i am in west harbor and i have the "Investigate the silver shard" quest but when i want to go to Weeping Willow Inn i still remain in west harbor and my games stop responding whit the mouse controls. In others words i cant do anything whit my mouse!!! i have installed the patch ver. 1.04 and still dont work. pls help me on this
