Hello everyone!! Well I'm fond of Middle Age history and video Games!!
But i always played Hack'n'slash based games !!! I played also Baldur's Gate !!
I'm do not understand all of DnD rules!!
so i'm a bit confused I want to know
1)if the game have the classic rules!!
kind of Ranger needs dex, mage needs int, fighter needs str!!
2)And plz if one of my party member is dead I couldn't find how to ressurect him coz as i've played there's no recrutement for NPC!!
3) When i used my mage and priest spells i make them always sleep, sometimes 5 time in 10 mnt and that makes more than 6 days passby, whould that affect the gameplay??
thanks for ansering me and please go easy on me cause i'm a newbie (but not a nOob
)

1) It has the classic AD&D rules. Everyone benefits from str,dex and con, only mages and bards benefit from int, only clerics and druids benefit from wis and only one person needs cha for buying stuff and extra dialogue options.
Only extreme values make the difference, a character with 14 in all stats is horrible.
Read the manual for details. You have a lot of freedom to create your party and a lot of freedom to mess this up.
2) Unless you have a non-evil level 9 cleric you have to pay a temple for healing. Reloading is cheaper.
3)It doesn't matter. There's no time limit in the game.

I was wondering if choosing the pre-made caracters is a good choice!!
I want to know if the attributes points are affected randomly or it's welldone by the caracter Job (e.g: when i choose mage job did I always find points go to int coz it needs to or not, Coz I think i'll restart playing all with pre-made caracters points attribute , fo that the party I made I think i missed it up ^^'
Thnx for the help

Like Kmonster said, read the manual, it explains about ability scores. (= Job Points.)
The scores are determined randomly, by rolling three sixsided dice. This gives a score between 3 & 18. You can substract & add points from one score to another via the "+" en "-" buttons. You can keep rerolling these points, to get more of them.
It's on page 8 of the manual.
I would advice against pre-made characters, they tend to be horrible.

IWD has premade characters?????
WTF???!?!?!? I don't remember that!!!!
If you want a decent party, make 1 of each of the following: Warrior (Paladin, Fighter, Ranger), Cleric, Mage, and a Thief (preferably a multiclassed thief).
Then make the other two whatever you want.

I think he means the default characters stored under titles such as "Mage" or "Cleric".
