Who Should I Add? - Spoiler

I`m just about to go to TOB again and I want to add one member to my party.
I have my multi class F/M/T and Viconia and I`m playing on hard level.
Last time, I took Sarevok but he seemed to get injured very quickly, although he did wipe out some powerful monsters with one swipe.
I have Carsomyr 5 so keldorn is a possibility. I think I need another fighter to get a better balance.
Maybe Minsc would be a better option or even Jahiera. (I didn`t release these two from the dungeon - can you still pick them in TOB?)
I`m very dissapointed with Viconia`s HLA but she`s in a romance so I`m going to keep the miserable so and so!

If you think Sarevok got injured easily, wait until you try Keldorn. The latter's certainly playable, but I think Sarevok is the easier and more powerful choice.
What about Korgan? Lots of power, focus, strength, and endurance. If that's what you want, consider him.
And just to throw a spanner in the works, I would suggest you also consider...Aerie. Some good high level summoning spells, spell triggers you can fill with both mage and cleric spells, etc. Worth a thought.

did you dual Big S or just kept him a Fighter?
if not, try to dual him into a mage, he will be nearly invincible once he reached his level and regains his fighter levels, if you didnt do WK this will go very fast exp with a 3 man party, a powerfull fighter like him with stoneskin, mantle and TENSERS is freaking strong !

Two things I hadn`t thought of. I`d love to take Aerie but I`m a bit light on muscle.
Sarevok dualled - is there enough time left for this?

I`ve just read your post again and, unfortunately I`m just getting to the end of WK!
I might try Aerie. It would be a challenge and make me rely more on magic than brawn - which is what I always do but without any success!

Relying on magic is all well and good. It's nice to have a few tanks to help give the magic users the time and space to do their business, though. I'm curious as to your problem with Sarevok. He's among the most powerful "tanks" in the game. I doubt you'll see considerably better results (unless I'm forgetting some level differentiation) between him or any of the other fighter-types in BG2. Maybe your expectations are too high?

Aerie can definitely be one of the most powerful tanks in ToB, definitely more powerful than a simple fighter. Magic matters.
