MOTB: ointment for golem

I'm stuck after only a few minutes! How exactly does one make the rejuvenation ointment (from the hellfire powder) for the golem right at the beginning of the game? My knowledge of "crafting" is zero.

Have Safiya use the alchemy workbench. Her craft alchemy is higher than yours. Then talk to the golem (right click and hold the right button down. Select "Talk to...") That should work. Remember, this is an optional thing. It's not required to complete the opening cavern. It simply provides you with an extra "tank" for the time you are in the cavern. The golem's time with your party will end as soon as you exit it.

Safiya's Alchemy isn't always better than the PC's. My last two runs thru the Barrow, I've actually been better at it.
But Faust is correct, Use whichever character has the higher Alchemy skill.

Yeah, he stated in his original post that he had a 0 in craft skills. So, I assumed Safiya's was better than his.
