Hi. I know that this is probably not the right forum, maybe not the right site, but still I'd like to ask if it is possible to use monsters and graphic effects from baldurs gate to modify another game, like that:
http://screens.endor.cz/krtecek/kuku12.bmp
http://screens.endor.cz/krtecek/kuku7.bmp
http://screens.endor.cz/krtecek/kuku11.bmp
just hypothetically, of course.

well i think WE are okay with it, the question is how thinks bioware, it would be best to ask them

The graphics are Bioware's, as Dummy pointed out. GameBanshee's opinion is pretty irrelevant.

If I did not know how to beat kangaxx, I wouldn't have to ask the creators of the game either. I was hoping I could get the answer from here, because it is simplier that way and may settle my little problem quickly. Maybe someone knows a precedent?

Beating Kangaxx is an issue of playing a game. Borrowing a company's property is a legal matter. There's no need for a precedent. Bioware owns its code. You need to ask them. I'm not trying to come on strong about this, but really, it *is* literally that simple.
And no one is going to advise you to do otherwise, unless they think it funny watching somebody lose all their work for breaking a license (which should be in your copy of BG2, by the way).

no thats not true
its a difference if you want to USE property of someone for something else
or to ask about an issue
its a difference if you read a book and ask about someones opinion about it, or to copy a few pages for an other book

We don't know the circumstances, and cannot comment. As this is something which has apparently happened already, it becomes a legal matter, and GameBanshee is not able to comment upon it.
