Don't know what happened, but Jahiera has started complaining about "not tolerating this waste of time", no matter what I do, she won't get off of this dialog. We close it off and she starts up again, any pointers????

Whenever your party becomes extremely "good" or "evil," the neutrals in it will complain like mad without leaving. This is what's happened to Jaheira.

To solve it, I would recommend installing the G3 BG2 Tweak Pack. You can choose what you want to tweak, but it does include the "neutrals stop complaining" mod.

Balderdash used to offer the mod separately, as I recall, but it's no longer online. By checking out the Tweak Pack page, you might find other tweaks you want to add, too, from the bundle. But that's up to you.

Or you could just try to steal something and drop your Rep to the mid-teen regions.

you're going to lose rep anyway when your PC turns into the slayer, 2 for each slayer transformation. That adds up, and you probably don't need anymore

I know how, if you get a really high rep, Jaheira complains a lot. However, thats just her character ocassionaly spouting off.

I've run into the same glitch as the topic starter. A dialogue with Jaheira complaining about "I will not tolerate this waste of time!" and then going on about Khalid keeps popping up. Every time you finish it, it pops up again. I've gotten around it by going to a previous save, but it keeps popping up after I've finished another quest or two. Its very irritating, and I have to remember to save ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME just in case. Any suggestions?

I think it might be a glitchy Jaheira Romance. If you kick her out of the party and then take her back in, the romance will have ended and the problem is solved. Obviously, at cost of the romance.

If that's the case, have you installed any packs that might edit the romances or NPCs? If you have, you might want to list them out so that others who have used them might be able to respond if they do know.

First off, Kajjax hasn't replied, so we don't know that we were wrong at all, Zandur. You're just piggybacking your problem on his, and that's fine. But that doesn't make our solution necessarily wrong for him. It's just one strong possibility.

Now: are you running any mods at all, and if so, which ones? And what dialog setting for party NPCs are you using in your sound configuration?

Everything was stock. (and I wasnt in a romance). I figure that since the game has been installed for so long (several years) and hasnt been used in quite a while, that was the biggest cause of the glitch - as I had been experiencing several other glitches.

However, I now have a much bigger problem... *please* see my new thread on the forum.

My apologies for saying that your answers were wrong; Kajjix' problem sounded much closer to my own glitch rather than the "Jaheria complains constantly about your rep" (which I have experienced). But, as you said, he hasnt responded, so we dont know.

I've had same problem. Average reputation, Jaheira not in romance. Accidentally I've had discovered that she starts complaining (continuously!) only when my party members were heavily wounded. After casting some healing spells, she always settles down.

I have a solution. Kick that annoying ... (not allowed to call her what I percieve her) and make do with Viconia or Anomen for healing, Viconia or Aerie for romance. Who would want anyone throwing herself at a new guy mere weeks after her husband died? Unfaithful and annoying.

I am sorry, I cannot really help, but I could not keep gob shut cause I dislike Jaheira for her constant griping and complaining. In fact I sort of dislike all the Romance opportunities in the original game.

Which makes me think, but that is for another thread...

She complains only when your party members are heavily wounded? What (approximately) does she say? If she complains about your party being too evil, then it sounds like a flag is improperly set.
