so i just started playing the game a few days ago and made a female high elf character and noticed my character has a male voice when she is fighting or gets hurt. it's really distracting and annoying. i'm pretty sure someone even called me a sir one time. is this a glitch or do the female and male characters just share the same voice?

I think one of the voice actresses just has a really masculine grunt. When I first started playing the game, occasionally I wouldn't realize an NPC was female until I looted the body for the same reason.

There is a difference between the female and male voice for the High Elf. But they are very similiar to each other. But in your case it might be a glitch, but i have also encountered this glitch which is as you say really annoying.
