Changing medallion to detect magic over monsters..

If I recall correctly, you will have to meditate in order to change the medallion's detection system.

Yes, but where do you click? I can't find how to set it either.

When you are in meditation mode, click your inventory, and you will see the magic/monsters selection icon. The only problem I had with this is that the darn thing constantly reverts to detecting monsters.
