Man, I tried everything to defeat that stupid bastard. I tried all the strategies in the strategy guides section, but the basterd jsut keeps on killing me!! If i change into the slayer, I don't have enought time to kill him before I start losing control. The spell immunity set to abjuration doesn't work long enogh to finish him off. I killed him once, but right after that my main character died because of the slayer change, so I had on tiem to save. Has anyone else come up with any new strategies that they like to share. Any strategies would be apprexiated.

Funny, I got no prob with him.
Use the "protection from magic" scroll right before the demi-lich form appear(he gives a speech, so you got time).
Put the charater with the protection near the demi-lich form and he will target him with imprisemont spell always, since that spell does not work as long the protection is up...
The rest is easy, +4 weapons on him, but remenber to cast "improve haste" since Kangaxx demi-lich form regenerates very fast..

This might have been tried but here go's
1. Set 4 traps right where he appears.
2. Summon 2 (Any high level) and place them beside the top wall.
3. Place a person with the Ring of the Ram beside the bottom wall.
4. Have someone Hasted click on the casket and run.
5. As soon as the traps hit ,hit him from the bottom wall with the Ring of the Ram.
6. Stay back with everyone else and try to get Kangaxx to unlease his killer spells.
7. When his first form goes down then use mages to start bringing his defences down..remember to have a pile of freedom spells and to cast them . Summon more (High level) to always keep him casting imprisonment.
8. When his defences start to drop send in the heavy hitters and keep on casting Freedom spells.

Forget about killing him, just pick his pocket before he turns hostile. And run like hell. I've tried a lot of different ways and finally gave up. I am not very good at killing lichs, but I have the ring.

yes but still two is better than one. not to mention all the exp. and self-satisfactory.
I would go with the wizard eye tactic it is by far the easiest and safest.

Spell Immunity (abjuration) cast on character nearest demi-lich soaks up most of its spells. The demi- needs to be hit fairly hard by other party members to kill him before the spell immunity wears off.

Cast spell ummunity just before he transfers into demilich. And cast again later.

you don't

Fire elemental and aerial servant's punches, slaps whatever are considerate as a +4 weapon when striking. also melf's min. meteor. Are considerate as and equipped +4 magical weapon.

I have 4 mages (well one actually is a sorc. but who is counting?) all have melf's M.M.
16x4 = 64 melf's M.M. comeing from four different mages at the same time.

1. Boost efficiency of your mage (Girdle of Hill Giant Strength, Boots of Speed, etc.), give him the Staff of Rynn. Do not cast Haste because it will turn against you in the end (fatigue).
2. Kangaxx the Lich: play "Mouse & Cat" game with him. Go dowstairs, let him start to cast a spell, run upstairs - this wastes the spell. Repeat. Do not haste, time is working for you (Kangaxx' protections are wearing off). Save the game often.
3. Kangaxx the lich decided to approach you: wait, let him perform his decision. You need Kangaxx at the exit of the area.
4. Hack Kangaxx the lich down. When he starts to transform to demilich, run upstairs.
5. Cast Spell immunity (abjuration) and Death Ward on your mage. Save the game. Go downstairs and pause the game immediately.
6. Kangaxx the demilich: BEWARE! It is not right that Kangaxx always tries to imprison the nearest enemy! Therefore, command your mage to attack Kangaxx (that's why we need Kangaxx at the exit from the area) and put the rest of your people out of sight (on the opposite side of the sarcophagus). Beat him! Beat him! Beat him! Recast Spell Immunity when needed. Use Ring of Ram.
7. Kangaxx - moral failure: when Kangaxx becomes yellow, he stops casting Imprisonments. Be quick. Continue beating and command the rest of your party to do what they can. Everybody who can attack him (+4 or better weapon) should attack him. Everybody who can cast offensive spells "Save: 1/2" (i.e., spells that always hit) should cast them.
This WORKS. With a little skill, you need not to reload and you will experience a great battle.

Defeating Kangaxx is very simple. This is how I did it each time I faced him with various groups. Each time before I went to the Underdark.
1) Spell up your team and have your heavy hitters surround the spot where Kangaxx appears. ( Having summoned mobs helps )
2) Make sure that your heavy hitters are strengh enhanced. The instant Kangaxx appears have all the heavy hitters attack.
This usually takes out Kangaxx very quicky, sometimes in the first round.
3) After this the demil-lich Kangaxx appears. If you have summomed mobs he deals with them first allowing you time to attack him while you are still fully spelled up.
The Holy Avenger really helps here, as well as having a mage on the side lines casting breach, and lower magic resitence.
Trust me, this works everytime

No need for any protection from magic scroll. Just hit him hard and fast.
