Issue with Uninstall/Reinstall

I tried uninstalling the game today and it keeps telling me that it can't find the uninstaller and that I should run the setup.exe on the disk. Sadly, I'm next to illiterate when it comes to computers, and I don't want to feel around blindly in fear of messing up important programs.

Does anyone here know how to go about this without destroying the rest of my computer?

I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but I couldn't find it if it has.

Double click on "My Computer"

Right click on the drive with the Oblivion CD and select "explore"

Double click on "setup"

That should run the set-up program, but if the uninstaller didn't work, I don't know that the set-up program will work, either.

I think you should deleted the entire map and everything else that is connected to the game. Then you open the file of your disc, meaning not going to the oblivion start menu, but doing rightclick on your oblivionsign in "my computer" or whatever it's called in English, and then clicking on the setupsign.
It worked for me, but you should better wait for a better sollution than this one.

Thank you both. I followed your instructions and it officially uninstalled (I had already manually deleted the files, probably causing this mess in the first place) and then installed my program.
