Here are the forum rules. Note number 2:
Advocating illegal activities, including software piracy or other intellectual property violations.
So that's out.

Not sure why this breaks rule 2.
Could someone explain?
i mean if i told someone to head over to gamebanshee to get the
Morrowind Character Generation Guide (Excel Spreadsheet 160kb).

Would i be wrong in doing this?

@shadow_blade

The Hypertext d20 SRD (v3.5 d20 System Reference Document) :: d20srd.org

@Greg-

This isn't illegal. Almost all D&D material (aside from a few original monsters and deities) are open source, meaning anybody can do whatever they want with it.

Anything on the above site can be used freely, and even discussed right here on gamebanshee.

Well, actually I could sympathize with Greg's concern. D&D material usually comes in book form, not on the internet. So accessing it from the internet to someone who doesn't know about the SRD's could look quite illegal.

I'm not sure if this site contains Artifacts, but I think it does. It should be ok to use, since it has a stickied-link to it from the official Wizards-boards.
Crystal Keep - D&D and d20 System.

@chimomgs

Torrents for D&D manuals ARE illegal. Do not advocate downloading them again please.

Apologies to OP. That is what I thought you were after.

I was under the impression that only the srd is open source. Crystal keep is good for finding out what book something is from, but a lot of things - like prestige classes - are not listed completely.

And about the crystal keep download thing - you can get them from the website, so not sure why you'd torrent them.
