hey guys... im new to the dungeon lords thing, so far it looks like its going to be a great game.. im just miffed about a couple things..
when in the sewers and theater dungeon in the beginning of the game, where do the baddies keep coming from. do they just spawn out of nowhere? does the game do this the whole time? cause i noticed it does it in town too.. :-/
second, when fighting, the little bar on the bottom is monster life, im assuming, cause it goes down, then says dies. but what are the numbers? ive tried to figure it out, but they don't seem to correlate to anything.
thanks in advance!

Yes

Yes
The frequency can be turned down in Options, but they keep on popping up all through the game.

The number is the amount of damage you are dealing out

In the sewers they will only start spawning as soon as you collect a "Bridge Key" hidden on one of the lower floors. You can run around completely unmolested as long as you don't collect that key. And if you're really good, you can pass the bridge without the key (no joke, I've done this several times in a row and it always worked) and play through the whole sewer without any random encounters, making it a lot easier! However, this only works for the sewer and causes you to get a lot less experience because there are fewer monsters to kill that way.

Don't worry: the more of them you kill, the more experience points you get. Distribute them well and soon you can take on bigger armies of enemies at a time (for example, strength increases your damage and decreases the time it takes to bash enemies to death). I'd also recommend you to buy Blast Nova scrolls/books which can wipe out entire screens full of enemies!
