I managed to lose Carsomyr and various other bits of kit being used by Keldorn. I have been through every room in WK where he might have snuffed it, but couldn't find the dropped gear. made no sense.

anyhow - found a solution using the single-player/multi-player ruse.

windows key to return to desktop without ending game.

I copied the present save into multi-player. from save to mpsave
back to BG
loaded a multi-player game and removed a party member. saved.
back to single player - loaded a game when keldorn still had his things and transferred them to the PC. exported the PC to a character file (called it 'Kelstuff')
back to multiplayer - loaded game adding the PC character as a mule - unloaded and gave the stuff back to keldorn. dismissed mule-PC from party
saved

desktop

copied save to 'save' folder.

Back to BG - single player then loaded.


problem solved.

That's what I do when I lose things due to a bug, though not if it is due to my own carelessness. i.e. Forgetting where I have left an item. Hope that the rest of your game goes smoothly, at least as far as bugs etc. are concerned.
