Do i do more damage if i wield a 1 lightsaber or 2? Then im just talking about damage with the non-offhand saber. Know what i mean?



And, do you use 1 or 2 lightsabres or maybe a double?

Personally, I almost always use a single saber, simple because I think that's the way Star Wars should be. BUT, I do have some NPCs use different configurations (Handmaiden uses a double, Atton and Visas dual sabers).

If you use one or two sabers, it doesn't really matter....you'll always do the same damage from the main hand, though you might suffer some to hit penalties. The second saber just adds another attack with that weapon, which would cause more damage in a round than just having the single saber. A double saber would do the most damage though, with the extra attack. This is all without getting into feats and force powers, though, and I'm likely going to be contradicted.

The damage your main-hand saber does isn't affected by the presence of another saber (unless that second saber has a Yourname crystal in it which increases strength).

What is affected is the chance to hit with that saber, which will be lowered. How much it is lowered depends on the Feat which allows 2 weapon fighting. So basically, you'll try to hit your enemy more often, but the chance of each blow landing will be less.

One other advantage, sometimes overlooked, of a second saber is that it gives you 4 slots for crystals, rather than just 2. This means that you can use one of them for a Stats-boosting crystal, if you want.

I only use two lightsabers if im a weaponmaster or marauder. One saber for increased stats, and another for attack and damage boosts. Works best with superior two weapon fighting.
