Help beating Anya and Sir Gannayev (spoilers)

After getting the hags eye, I went back to help anya with her dream problem. I never pass the diplomacy checks and end up fighting them and with gann proceed to get the bejesus kicked out of us. If you haven't done this the spoiler is this (.
I am just looking for some advice on how to approach these two. I don't seem to have anything that damages either one of them and I would like to get the xp.(without cheating)
