Lag?

The game bogs down when my system should run it without a problem. I've updated my drivers...to no avail.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 2.2 ghz
1.5 GB DDR2 RAM
Geforce 7800 GS

Playing this at 1024x768, with pretty much everything set to maximum graphics-wise.

I somehow suspect that spell effects and/or lots of creatures are the culprit, but I'm really not 100% sure.

So, any ideas?

Did you raise the Frame Rate?

Yes, it's raised to 40.

EDIT: Lowering it to 30 didn't change anything. I'm patched up to 2.01. Another problem is that I can't uninstall the game through add/remove programs or through the 1st or 2nd CDs. Should I download any program that uninstalls programs to re-install IWD2? If I should, what program should I download?
